Sophie Turner asks judge to ‘reactivate’ divorce proceedings with Joe Jonas

Sophie Turner has reportedly requested judicial intervention to expedite her divorce from Joe Jonas following unsuccessful settlement discussions.

The couple, who announced their divorce in September 2023, had already settled property matters due to a pre-existing prenuptial agreement.

The main point of contention remains the custody of their children. Sophie intends to relocate to England with the children, an idea Joe has opposed, leading to accusations from Sophie of unlawful retention of the children in the U.S. She later withdrew her legal claim based on child abduction laws, seeking to resolve the custody dispute privately.

Sophie’s docs, obtained by TMZ, ask to ‘reactivate’ the divorce proceedings, which were put on hold as the former couple went to mediation to work out a property and child custody settlement.

However, due to a deadlock in talks, she has asked the court to resume the divorce proceedings and address the custody issue. The couple have two daughters, born in July 2020 and July 2022. Recent images depict that both Joe and Sophie have found new romantic partners: he is now involved with Stormi Bree, while she has coupled up with Perry Pearson.
