Suryakumar Yadav TROLLS Yashasvi Jaiswal With Rohit Sharma’s Iconic Line Ahead of T20 World Cup 2024
New York: The Rohit Sharma-led Indian side arrived in New York on Monday and since then they have been exploring the modern city. Most cricketers are bonding, clicking pictures and sharing them on social media. Young India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal did the same as he clicked a selfie ahead of the training session and posted it on his handle. To this, Suryakumar Yadav pulled the young opener’s leg by using captain Rohit’s iconic line. SKY, as he is popularly known, his response on Jaiswal’s post read: “Sambhaal ke. Garden me ghoomega tho pata hai na”. There was also a laughing emoji at the end.
Earlier in the year, Rohit was caught on the stump mic saying these words to Sarfaraz Khan. Rohit cherished the moment and later also took to his own social media handle. He nhad posted a picture of himself with teammates Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan with the caption, “Garden mein ghoomne wale log (People who roam in the garden)”.
Meanwhile, there is much speculation over who opens with Rohit in the T20 WC – will it be Virat Kohli or Jaiswal?
Amid all the speculation, former India opener Wasim Jaffer has come up with a suggestion quite different from the usual fare. “Kohli & Jaiswal should open in the World Cup imo. Rohit & SKY should bat 3&4 depending on the start we get. Rohit plays spin really well so batting at 4 shouldn’t be a concern. #T20WorldCup #INDvPAK #INDvIRE,” Jaffer said on X.
India play Ireland in their tournament opener on June 5.
