Suzuki India Issues Major Recall for 4 Lakh Two-Wheelers Over Safety Concerns
Suzuki, a leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced a recall of over 4 lakh motorcycles and scooters in India. This decision comes after the discovery of a faulty high-tension cord connected to the ignition coil in several models.
Affected Scooters
A total of 3,88,411 scooters have been identified for inspection under this recall initiative. The models affected include:
Suzuki Access 125
Suzuki Avenis 125
Suzuki Burgman Street 125
These scooters were manufactured between April 30, 2022, and December 3, 2022.
Affected Motorcycles
In the motorcycle segment, the recall includes the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE. This model has been added to the recall list due to an issue with the rear tyre. According to Suzuki, a portion of the tyre tread may separate, leading to cracks and potential safety hazards.
