Tech News: Deepfake content can be controlled in Lok Sabha elections, WhatsApp took this big step
Now during elections, AI is created and edited i.e. deepfake content will be controlled. Under this, Meta-owned WhatsApp has joined hands with the Misinformation Combat Alliance regarding misinformation and deepfakes in the elections. After the implementation of the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, such a step has been taken by the popular social media platform WhatsApp.
Under this, the Deepfake Analysis Unit (DAU) tipline will be launched on 25 March 2024. The Deepfake Analysis Unit will work to curb deepfake content created and edited by AI during the Lok Sabha elections. It is noteworthy that Lok Sabha elections in the country will be held in seven phases. Voting for the first phase will take place on April 19. Voting for the final phase will take place on June 1. The election results will be declared on June 4.
