Telegram Unveils New Mini App Bar and Enhanced Hashtag Features
Telegram has introduced several new features aimed at enhancing the user experience. These include a mini app bar, monetization options for content creators, expanded story search functionality, a new link widget, rewards for content creators, and Toncoin rewards. Mini App BarTelegram users use Mini Apps to buy things, get services and play games. With new updates, users can add these mini apps to the bottom bar on their screen. This allows users to respond to messages or launch other mini-applications while easily returning to the previously used mini-app without waiting for it to reload.
Find Stories by Hashtag Telegram has also added a new feature for users to find stories. This new update lets users find public stories with the same hashtag by tapping into the caption.
Search Stories by Location Similar to hashtags, users can now add location tags to their stories, allowing them to see all public stories from the same location by simply tapping on the tag, similar to the feature on Instagram. However, private stories will never appear in search results. Link Widget Stories This new feature is for premium members as they can add a link widget to their stories to increase link visibility. This widget adds an attractive link preview overlay to a user’s photo or video. It supports both light and dark backgrounds to enhance your media.
Paid Content To help content creators monetize their channels, Telegram has introduced paid photos and videos. With this feature, content creators can accept Telegram stars from viewers for their content. Subscribers can access posts only after paying to unlock them.
Rewards for Content Creators and Developers Bot developers and content creators can now use their earned Telegram Stars to earn Toncoin rewards through paid posts or purchase Telegram ads. The platform offers a 30 percent discount on ads to cover third-party payment system fees, making it an affordable option to reach new users. Telegram charges minimal commission on Stars transactions, with only taxes and payment system fees applicable. According to Toncoin RewardsTech Crunch, Telegram now allows its content creators to convert their stars into Toncoin—the cryptocurrency the app uses on The Open Network (TON) blockchain. Also, they can use it to get discounts on channel promotions.
