Triptii Dimri addresses backlash on ‘Animal’ sex scenes, shares parents’ concerns
Triptii Dimri’s role in ‘Animal’ has garnered immense praise and appreciation from fans. Following the success, her intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial invited a lot of criticism.
The actor has now reacted to the trolling that came her way in a recent interview with Vogue India.
‘Animal’, which gained massive popularity after its release, starred Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Ranbir Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in key roles. Triptii, whose popularity grew massively after the film’s release, revealed that she decided to do the film because she found her cameo “interesting”.
“I know my reasons for doing the film. Sandeep sir (Sandeep Reddy Vanga) was clear that it was going to be a small role, but I found the character interesting. If we start making decisions based on what audiences are going to say, then as actors, we won’t ever be able to do what we want to do,” Triptii told Vogue India.
In the same interview, the actor revealed that her parents were taken aback after watching her in the movie. “My parents were completely rattled when they saw it. We had to have a long discussion on why that scene was crucial.” However, she added that she was aware her parents were proud of her.
In another instance, the actor recalled that after her debut film ‘Laila Majnu’, her father had called her on stage after a family event, “He just wanted to show off, but I went blank. That’s how afraid I was. It’s taken a lot of time for me to get used to being in the public eye,” she stated.
