Tu Hai Meri Kiran: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s Upcoming Film Lands in Legal Trouble

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s upcoming movie Tu Hai Meri Kiran has been making headlines for a while, but now it has landed Sonakshi in legal trouble. Adlabs is accusing the film of infringing on the copyrights of their movies, Caller (2011) and Call (2019), which they own the rights to. Adlabs has filed a complaint against the movie’s producer, Vishal Rana, and Echelon Productions, alleging that Tu Hai Meri Kiran violates the copyright of their original films.
In the past, Adlabs sent legal notices to Echelon and has now escalated the issue by filing a complaint with the Indian Film and Television Producers Council (IFTPC). They are demanding that Echelon disclose the script of the film and stop creating any third-party rights related to it.
The actor-couple, Sonakshi and Zaheer, wrapped up the final schedule of the film in June, right before their wedding. Sonakshi’s recent projects, including Heeramandi – The Diamond Bazaar by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Dahaad by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, received widespread praise from both fans and critics.
