Two associates of BJP leader arrested in MP for killing youth, forced to walk 2 km to court
Two associates of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ashish Behure were arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police on charges related to the shooting and killing of a 31-year-old youth named Ramraj Nandesaria.
The arrested duo was forced to walk to the court, covering a distance of around 2 kilometres from the police station. BJP leader Ashish Behure and Neera Krishna Behure (former Patan Municipal Council President) are the prime suspects in the incident.
The incident occurred on January 26 around 9 pm in the Chaudhary Mohalla area of the Patan police station jurisdiction in Jabalpur. Neera Krishna Behure and Ashish Behure allegedly shot Ramraj Nandesaria with a 12-bore gun, resulting in his death. Following the incident, the assailants, along with two other associates, had absconded, prompting a relentless search by the Patan police.
Cousin provides eyewitness account
Raghav Sharma, the cousin of the deceased, provided an eyewitness account of the incident. According to Sharma, a dispute arose between Ramraj and a man named Pappu Burman, who later returned with BJP leaders Ashish Behure and Krishna Choudhary. Ashish allegedly fired the fatal shot at Ramraj. The accused then fled the scene with their associates.
