UPSC Toppers 2023: The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is one of the toughest exams in the country, and those who succeed in acing this hard examination are accorded cadres and postings as per their respective rank. UPSC toppers are given IAS and IPS cadres, and also have the freedom to choose their own cadre, provided the physical and other requirements, especially in case of IPS.
Aspirants who clear the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) CSE exam, receive their initial training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), a civil service training institute in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand that trains officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and other civil services.

Lucknow resident Aditya Shrivastava topped the UPSC CSE 2023, achieving the coveted All India Rank (AIR) 1. Srivastava has been given the Uttar Pradesh IAS cadre after completing his training at the academy, and is now posted in his home state of Uttar Pradesh.
Similarly, Animesh Pradhan, who achieved AIR 2 in the 2023 UPSC CSE, has been accorded IAS rank of Odisha cadre, and is appointed in his home state.
Donuru Ananya Reddy, the third topper of UPSC 2023 exams, who hails from the southern state of Telangana, has been allotted the Maharashtra cadre.
PK Siddharth Ramkumar, who secured the fourth rank in UPSC CSE 2023, has also allotted the IAS rank in the Maharashtra cadre.
Gurugram native, Ruhani, who achieved the fifth rank, has been accorded the Haryana cadre, while Srishti Dabas, a Delhi resident who ranked sixth in the UPSC, has been given the Rajasthan cadre.
Anmol Rathod who achieved the 7th rank, has been accorded the Jammu and Kashmir cadre, while Ashish Kumar of Rajasthan, who was ranked 8th, has been allotted the Madhya Pradesh cadre.
UPSC AIR 9, Nausheen, has been allotted the Uttar Pradesh cadre, while rank 10, Aishwarya Prajapati, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, will be an IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre.
