UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2024: The Union Public Service Commission has invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to more than 500 posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Under this recruitment drive, notification has been issued to fill the vacancies of Assistant Commandant. Eligible candidates can apply on the Commission’s website upsconline.nic.in. Notification is available on upsc.gov.in.

The last date of application for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment is 14th May. Interested candidates should fill out the application form and submit it by this date. Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandant. Under this recruitment drive, 506 posts of Assistant Commandant will be filled. The vacancy details are as follows:
Border Security Force (BSF): 186 Vacancies
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 120 vacancies
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100 vacancies
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 58 vacancies
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 42
Application Process
Before submitting the online form at upsconline.nic.in, new candidates must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process using the link provided on the same website. After completion of OTR, they can proceed to fill out the application form.
Candidates who have already completed OTR for the previous edition of UPSC CAPF or any other examination conducted by the Commission are not required to register again, as the validity of OTR on the UPSC website is lifetime. Such candidates can fill out the application form by providing their registration details.
UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen. Non-citizens shall be appointed or employed only after the Central Government gives its consent in writing.
Age Limit: Candidates’ age should not be at least 20 years and not more than 25 years as of August 01, 2024. In other words, he/she should not be born before August 2, 1999, and after August 01, 2004. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as per government rules.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a graduation degree from a recognized university.
Application Fee: The application fee for UPSC CAPF is Rs 200. Female, SC, and ST category candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee.
