Vivo May Finally Launch A Foldable Phone In India This Year
You are likely to get a new foldable phone option in India this year. Vivo X Fold 3, the company’s latest foldable phone, may launch in India and other markets outside of China, if reports are to be believed.
Vivo is not new to the foldable phone market. It has been making foldable phones for the past years. But, all of them have been reserved for China. However, the company is finally ready to explore the Indian market and may launch its new foldable phone in the country in the second half of the year.
The foldable phone from Vivo will compete against the likes of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and OnePlus Open. It is also expected to pack top-notch features like the other two devices. This means that the upcoming Vivo phone will pack the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It should also get the Zeiss-tuned camera, just like the Vivo X series.
Vivo X Fold 3 features and specifications
The Vivo X Fold 3 is tipped to the slimmest phone foldable phone till date. It should have a 12.9mm profile which is less than rivals. The phone will feature a new ‘armour feather’ body on the X Fold 3 along with SGS five-star anti-drop certification with an IPX8 rating for water resistance. The phone will come with a 8.03-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The cover display measures 6.53 inches.
The chipset on the phone will be assisted with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. It runs Android 14 out of the box. The phone has a triple rear camera setup which consists of a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto periscope zoom sensor. Vivo has used its V3 imaging chip for better photography, again much like the flagship X series.
The phone packs a 5500mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.
