Volkswagen ID.3 GTX Unveiled Worldwide, Promising a Maximum Range of Approximately 600 km
After ruling the market with fuel-powered vehicles, leading car manufacturer Volkswagen has now entered the EV segment with its first hatchback ID 3 GTX. As per the details shared, the battery-powered four-wheeler is offered in two trims- GTX and GTX Performance, which delivers impressive performance in the segment. As for the ID3 GTX, the EV features the company’s advanced APP550 electric motor at the rear, which allows it to generate a maximum power of 281 bhp with an impressive 545Nm of peak torque.
All about ID 3 GTX performance
When it comes to the top model ID 3 GTX performance, as the name suggests, it is designed to deliver more power compared to the standard version. It produces a maximum output of 321 bhp, and is capable of sprinting from 0-100kph in just 5.6 seconds.
Speed and battery
Both the variants are rated with a top speed of 178km/h and 200km/h respectively. On the battery front, they are equipped with a 79kWh lithium-ion battery setup, which comes with DC fast charging at 175kW option on board. It is reported that the EV takes around 26 minutes to reach 100 percent from 0 percent charging level and offers a decent range of up to 600km.
Design highlights
As far as the design highlights are concerned, the newly revealed ID.3 GTX comes with a stylish front bumper, which features an eye-catching large air intake at the front. It gets a full LED headlight setup and attractive extended boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). To give it a better look on the road, the company has included chrome finish alloy wheels featuring the company logo in the centre.
