Volkswagen Virtus Convertible: Features A New 1.4L TSI Engine

Volkswagen has unveiled the convertible version of the Virtus sedan. However, this particular model was developed by the Brazilian wing of the German automaker.

As such, there are no immediate plans to launch a convertible iteration of the Virtus on Indian soil.

Brazilian car aficionados were given something to marvel at when the top-down Virtus made its grand entrance. A recent visit by Brazil’s president to Volkswagen’s local factory marked the perfect occasion for this debut

It’s vital to note that the Virtus convertible is not a mere roofless twin of its sedan counterpart that cruises Indian streets. The Brazilian model boasts significant differences, starting with the heart that powers ita sprightly 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine, a specification Indian consumers have yet to experience in their domestic Virtus lineup.

This machine is more than just its open top. Remarkable enhancements include a revamped suspension and redesigned door shapes that, along with a strengthening rod linking the front to the rear seats, substantially boost the vehicle’s stability.

Notably, the interior cabin extends slightly longer than the standard model, affording extra legroom, a claim Volkswagen proudly stands by. A splash of elegance colours the interior with Bisque Blue amid an otherwise pitch-black setting. The exterior catches the eye with striking 18-inch wheels sporting a dark, sophisticated finish.
