WBBSE Class 10 Exam 2024: Madhyamik History Question Paper Circulated On Social Media, Students Disqualified
Three students were found to have captured pictures of the papers privately using cell phones that they had brought into the examination center, and as a result, they were disqualified.
Shortly after the examination started on Monday, the candidates shared the photos on WhatsApp, which led to their disqualification from the exam as entirety.
According to the official, the three candidates, who were from two schools in the Malda region, tried to blur the special QR code that was discreetly inserted on each question paper, but they were caught.
Twelve individuals were penalised on February 3 for sending out English papers, while two were penalised on February 2 for sharing Bengali papers on social media. As a result, 17 candidates including 16 from Malda and 1 from Jalpaiguri were disqualified from this year’s class 10 board exams, as reported by news agency PTI.
Moreover, three candidates had their electronic gadgets, including two Android smartphones and smartwatches, seized by invigilators at test centers in the districts of Jhargram, Purulia, and Malda.
Exams were taken during the day by approximately 9,23,045 candidates at 2,675 locations across the state.
