Weather Update: People will get relief from the scorching heat, there may be heavy rain in many states, IMD issued an alert

These days, in many states of the country, people are facing severe heat due to the mercury crossing 40 degrees. Meanwhile, an alert has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department to provide relief to the people. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thundershowers in Central India, North-West India and North-East India in the coming days. Due to rain in these areas, people will get relief from the scorching heat.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted an active western disturbance to affect the northwest region of the country today. For this reason, the Meteorological Department has predicted sporadic to widespread rainfall with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab and Haryana including Rajasthan. There may be scattered light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Rajasthan today.

There may be snowfall in these states on 13 and 14 April.

The Indian Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of sporadic heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir on 13 and 14 April and Himachal Pradesh on 14 April 2024.

According to the department, there is a possibility of sporadic hailstorms in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand on Saturday and similar weather in East Rajasthan on Sunday. An alert has also been issued by the Meteorological Department for the national capital Delhi. Vibhan has issued a yellow alert for rain on Saturday and Sunday. Due to this drop in temperature, people will get relief from the heat.
