Western Railways: Over 40 Trains Cancelled, 22 Rescheduled After Goods Train Derails At Palghar; Mumbai Locals Also Affected

Western Railways Update: A derailment incident involving 6 wagons & 1 BVG at Palghar yard on 28/05/2024 has disrupted the UP line of the Mumbai-Surat section. This disruption has led to significant changes in train schedules, with 41 cancellations, 18 partial cancellations, 9 diversions, and 22 reschedulings. Mumbai Suburban locals to and from Dahanu Road are also affected until 12 noon. The restoration of the UP line at Palghar Yard is underway, ensuring minimal disruptions. Western Railway CPRO assures prompt restoration for smooth train operations.

  • Train No 93031 (Dadar-Dahanu Road) will run up to Virar
  • Train No 93033 (Virar-Dahanu Road)
  • Train No 93035 (Virar-Dahanu Road)
  • Train No 93037 (Churchgatee-Dahanur Road)

Several long-distance trains from from Surat and other locations towards Mumbai have been short-terminated at stations closer to Mumbai due to the disruption.
