Who Is Kevan Parekh? Know Journey Of Apple’s New Indian-Origin CFO
Apple has announced that Kevan Parekh, its Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, will become Chief Financial Officer and join the executive team, starting January 1, 2025.
Apple’s incumbent Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri will transition from his role and will continue to lead the Corporate Services teams, including information systems and technology, information security, and real estate and development, reporting to Apple CEO Tim Cook, as per a statement from US-based consumer electronics.

Kevan Parekh has done his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He has also pursued an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Before joining Apple, Parekh was working for Thomson Reuters and General Motors. At Thomson Reuters, he was also in various senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Finance and Corporate Treasurer.
Then he worked for General Motors he worked as the Director of Business Development in the New York office and as Regional Treasurer in Zurich, Europe.
At 52 years old, Parekh joined Apple over a decade ago & became a key figure in its financial leadership team.
In his current role, Parekh oversees essential areas such as Financial Planning and Analysis, G&A and Benefits Finance, Investor Relations, and Market Research. He reports directly to Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook.
Before his role as VP of Financial Planning and Analysis, Parekh led finance for Apple’s Worldwide Sales, Retail, and Marketing divisions.
According to a Bloomberg report, Kevan Parekh was groomed by his predecessor, Luca Maestri, for the CFO position over several months, reflecting the company’s long-term planning and confidence in Parekh’s abilities.

For more than a decade, Kevan, a person of Indian origin, has been a member of Apple’s finance leadership team.

“I’m looking forward to the next stage of my time at Apple, and I have enormous confidence in Kevan as he prepares to take the reins as CFO.
