Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin Send Greetings To Kim Jong Un On North Korea’s Founding Anniversary
Seoul: North Korea celebrated its founding anniversary on Sunday (local time). Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to Kim Jong Un on the occasion, KCNA reported. “I am sure that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and the DPRK will be strengthened in a planned way thanks to our joint efforts,” Putin said, according to KCNA.
DPRK is short for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the North’s official name.
In his statement captured by KCNA, Xi stressed on improving strategic communication and teamwork with North Korea. Last year, on September 9th, a day that marks the founding of the nation, Kim marked the event with a demonstration of paramilitary units and foreign affairs dialogues. He used this platform to express his commitment to bolstering ties with China and Russia.
