Yodha vs Shaitaan vs Bastar Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn’s Film Takes Lead; Sidharth Malhotra And Adah Sharma starrers DROP
Ajay Devgn’s latest film continues to thrive at the Indian box office. As it end its second week, ‘Shaitaan’ shows no indication of losing momentum, amassing an impressive Rs 34.55 crore crore.
In contrast, ‘Yodha’ had a respectable start during its first five days, earning over Rs 21 crore in net revenue in India. However, the film is witnessing a downward turn. Despite releasing alongside Adah Sharma’s ‘Bastar’, the film has managed to capture audience attention relatively well.
Shaitaan Box Office Collection
Receiving robust attention at the box office and eliciting enthusiastic reactions from viewers, Vikas Bahl’s film ‘Shaitaan’ has achieved a notable feat by surpassing the Rs 114.37 crore milestone in India within a mere 14 days of its release. This movie, which is a remake of the 2023 Gujarati horror film ‘Vash’, has enjoyed considerable success. With this, Ajay Devgn’s supernatural thriller has emerged as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024.
Shaitaan has garnered an impressive Rs 162 crore in global earnings by its fourteenth day in theaters. On Thursday, ‘Shaitaan’ contributed around Rs 2.50 crore to its total collections in India across all languages combined, bringing its second-week total to an approximate Rs 34.55 crore, as per initial estimates on sacnilk.com. It sustained a remarkable 11.28% occupancy rate in Hindi theaters. Wrapping up its second week on a high, the movie amassed a total of Rs 114.37 crore at the domestic box office.
Yodha Box Office Collection
Released on March 15, the film featuring Sidharth Malhotra made efforts to sustain a solid position at the box office; nevertheless, there has been a slight decline. As per the Sacnilk report, the film has grossed an approximate Rs 23.35 crore in net earnings across India during its inaugural week. As the curtains close on its seventh day in cinemas, ‘Yodha’, directed by Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, has garnered around Rs 1.85 crore in earnings.
Despite an initial positive response from audiences, the film encountered challenges in making a significant impact at the box office right from the start.
Bastar Box Office Collection
The film made its debut on March 15, earning Rs 40 lakhs on its opening day. It saw an uptick in collections over the weekend, reaching Rs 75 lakhs on Saturday and Rs 85 lakhs on Sunday, resulting in a weekend total of Rs 2.05 crore.
However, Monday witnessed a significant decline, with collections dropping below the opening day’s earnings. The following day, ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ managed only Rs 24 lakhs, bringing the overall total to Rs 2.24 crore. By day 6, ‘Bastar’ earned approximately 17 lakhs and on day 7, it garnered Rs 26 lakhs net earnings in India. This performance is disappointing for the filmmakers, who had anticipated a success similar to ‘The Kerala Story’.
