YouTube Create Video Editing App That Lets You Edit Videos On Mobile Now In India

Google-owned YouTube has officially rolled out its free video editing application, YouTube Create, in the Indian market. Initially announced last year, this app is completely free and aims to streamline the video editing process for both YouTube Shorts and longer-form content, thus, enabling users to channel their energy into creativity and storytelling.

As of now, the beta version of the app is accessible on Android devices in 13 more countries, and India is one of them.

Content creators are aware that editing of videos from start to finish can often be laborious, time-consuming, and costly. However, with YouTube Create, this doesn’t have to be the case. To ensure the creators can the maximum benefits from YouTube Create, the company said it was simplifying the process from recording to publishing, making it more efficient and accessible. “Last year, we announced YouTube Create, a new, free of charge app designed to make video editing for Shorts and longer videos easier, so creators can spend more energy on their craft and creativity,”YouTube wrote in a blog post.

“Since then, we’ve been working to improve it based on our community’s feedback, and today, we’re launching YouTube Create in beta on Android across 13 more countries — from Australia to Brazil and Spain. This will help new and established creators around the world make video creation simpler, easier and more lightweight — whether you’re sharing a Short of life on the fly or producing a longform video for your community,” the company added.

Step-by-step guide on how to use YouTube Create to edit videos

  • Use your smartphone to directly record the clips you wish to edit within the YouTube Create app. Capture moments as you engage in various activities, whether you’re exploring a cozy coffee shop or any other scenario you aim to share with your audience.
  • Browse through the extensive selection of songs within the app to discover the ideal soundtrack for your video. Select a song that matches the mood and enhances the visuals you’ve captured. YouTube emphasises, “Thanks to YouTube Create’s royalty-free music library, you can confidently monetise and share your creations on YouTube without the concern of copyright claims.”
