ZEE proposes to produce biographical film on late industrialist Ratan Tata’s life to pay tribute to his legacy

On Thursday, ZEE Entertainment Enterprises shared its sadness over the passing of Padma Vibhushan Ratan Tata, recognising him as a beacon of leadership, vision, compassion, and work ethic for many generations of Indians. In honour of his remarkable legacy, Punit Goenka, MD and CEO of ZEEL announced plans to produce a biographical film celebrating Ratan Tata’s legacy. Produced by ZEE Studios, the film aims to shine a spotlight on his significant contributions to India’s economy and the positive impact he made on the world.

Mr. Goenka believes that Ratan Tata’s remarkable achievements deserve to be showcased not just to India but to the world, particularly inspiring the youth. ZEE is committed to taking meaningful steps to bring this vision to life.
R Gopalan, Chairman of ZEEL stated, “The entire board is saddened by the fact that India will miss Mr. Tata. We feel that the film will make a positive impact on the world at large, and we are committed to bringing his story to life in a way that will inspire and motivate audiences.”
The film will be brought to life by ZEE Studios, with Umesh Bansal, Chief Business Officer expressing, “We are honoured and proud to work on a full-length documentary/biographical film on the life of Shri Ratan Tata Ji. We believe that it is our duty to celebrate such a great personality and his legacy, and we assure that we will leave no stone unturned to give a true account of his contribution and depict his life in a proper manner.”
This project awaits approval from TATA Sons, but once greenlit, ZEE Studios plans to donate the profits generated from the film to social causes and support those in need. To ensure the film reaches a global audience, ZEE Studios will collaborate with WION (World is One News) as a co-producer, leveraging its extensive viewership in over 190 countries to amplify the film’s impact worldwide.
